Commission Regulations
FEHA Regulations
The Commission promulgates regulations which interpret the Fair Employment and Housing Act. Those regulations are found at California Code of Regulations, title 2, section 7285.0.
Pregnancy Regulations
The Commission is working to streamline, clarify and make revisions
to its pregnancy, disability, and family leave regulations, and work
on these regulations as a coordinated rulemaking package.

Other Commission Regulations Projects
The Commission is currently working on two other rulemaking projects, revising its disability regulations and drafting new housing regulations.
Sexual Harassment Training and Education Regulations
On August 17, 2007, the Commission’s regulations interpreting Government Code section 12950.1 [A.B. 1825], which requires harassment training for supervisors of employers with 50 or more employees became effective. For more information see Harassment Training Regulations.
New FMLA Regulations and their Effects on California’s Family Rights Act (CFRA) Regulations
On November 17, 2008, the federal Department of Labor issued revised regulations interpreting the federal Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). (New FMLA Regulations.) These regulations now deviate from comparable regulations that the Commission has issued interpreting the California Family Rights Act (CFRA). The Commission plans to revise its CFRA regulations, but in the interim, it has created a Table comparing differences between the revised FMLA regulations and the Commission’s CFRA regulations. Amendments to the Americans with Disabilities Act and their Effects on the FEHA
Effective January 1, 2009, Congress amended the original Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA,” 42 U.S.C. § 12101, et seq.) to revise the definition of what is considered a “disability.” (The Americans with Disabilities Amendments Act “ADAAA,” Pub. Law 100-325.)
